St. James Parish Schools

The administration is implementing a new tailgating protocol for the upcoming football season to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone attending our sporting events.

Ms. Aimee Spears teaches Pre-Kindergarten for the St. James Parish Performing Arts Magnet Program at Paulina Elementary School. She has been teaching for 24 years, with 18 of them here in St. James Parish Schools.

Mr. Jon Magendie is a teacher at the Magnolia Academic Center for Excellence. This will be his 17th year teaching and his 15th year in St. James Parish Schools. He teaches all subjects that his students are enrolled in, which are almost exclusively virtual classes. He assists when students need help in any of their coursework.

Mr. Cortez teaches third grade English Language Arts and Social Studies at Vacherie Elementary School. This coming school year will be his 23rd year in the classroom as well as in St. James Parish Schools.

Ms. Lakeisha Johnson-Manuel teaches 5th Grade math and science for the St. James Parish Performing Arts Magnet Program at Gramercy Elementary School. She is entering her 19th year teaching, and has spent all 19 of them here in St. James Parish Schools.

Mrs. Lindsey Luminais, who teaches seventh grade Mathematics at Lutcher High School, is entering her 19th year as an educator, all of them all here in St. James Parish Schools.

Ms. Kyrie Arceneaux, a math teacher at St. James High School has been educating students for 13 years, having spent them all in St. James Parish Schools.

Ms. Carmen Folse, an educator of 17 years, has called St. James Parish Schools home for five years. She teaches third and fourth graders at Cypress Grove Montessori Academy.

St Vincent de Paul Society will be distributing uniforms to St. James Parish students in Head Start to 8th grade.

Mrs. LaVondra Albert is a Kindergarten teacher for the St. James Parish Academic, Visual, and Performing Arts Magnet program at Paulina Elementary School. This school year will be her 14th year as an educator, calling St. James Parish Schools home for the last 11 years.

Ms. Angela Cazenave, an art teacher at St. Louis Academy for the past 7 years, has been an educator for a total of 37.5 years, spending 20 of them here in St. James Parish Schools.

Mrs. Tina Babin brings lots of knowledge to her students at the Career and College Center through her US History and Western Civilization Dual Enrollment classes.

Ms. Christina LeCompte, a fourth grade math and science teacher at Sixth Ward Elementary School is entering her 12th year as an educator with eight of them here in St. James Parish Schools.

Ms. Deondra Johnson feels right at home with her Special Education students at Lutcher High School. She has been teaching for 15 years, three of them here in St. James Parish Schools.
