Substitute Opportunities:
The St. James Parish School Board is actively seeking qualified substitute teachers, paraprofessionals, and food service workers. To apply for a substitute position, please print (printed copies are available at the school board office) and fill out the substitute application and return it to the school board office. After your application is received, the Human Resources department will contact you in regards to the next steps.

What are the qualification requirements for paraprofessionals?
Passed the ParaPro Praxis or have a minimum of an Associates Degree or 48 college credit hours with certain course requirements.

5 -  Elementary/Middle School Certified - District Instructional Coaches(replaces District Instructional Specialists)

These positions are for PK-6 only, not inclusive of high school and the Montessori Program.  

These positions are focused on content proficiency and grade span.

Salary:  According to Teacher Salary Schedule

Qualifications:Valid Louisiana Teaching Certificate; 5 years successful teaching experience; Masters degree preferred; deep understanding of instructional content and delivery, deep understanding of a specific curriculum content and professional development delivery.

Length of Employment:  9 months/182 days + summer training with daily rate stipend pay

Expected Start Date:August 2020 with summer 2020 training
