Mrs. Tina Babin brings lots of knowledge to her students at the Career and College Center through her US History and Western Civilization Dual Enrollment classes. She will be adding a Marketing class this year to her repertoire as well.

Mrs. Babin has been an educator for 24.46 years. She has been teaching in St. James Parish Schools for three years now. She says that she came to SJPS because she needed a change. Having been in the same place for 18 years, she felt as if she was burning out. SJPS provided her a refreshing change and renewed her love of being an educator. She says, “The reason I stay is because I absolutely adore the people I work with - both students and colleagues!”

When asked of her favorite part of the job, Mrs. Babin says, “Hands down my favorite part of my job is my students! I strive to make my classroom a safe place for creative thought and healthy interaction.

I enjoy getting to know them, watching them ‘grow in the curriculum’, and ultimately become productive members of the community.”

Her advice to new teachers is to take one day at a time. She says that every day you become a better educator. Learn from your students, and be humble.

Mrs. Babin adds that this past school year at C3 was one of the best years of her career. She feels fortunate to be able to work for Ms. Terry Gros and with such wonderful colleagues. She loves her C3 family and feels blessed to be a part of the team.
